Most of the time when the refs blow the whistle, its because a player committed a foul. Sometimes the player disagrees that it wasn't a foul and argue with the referee. Like say that you're trying to get open and then the opponent player pushes you then you push him back and then he pushes u right back on the ground and the ref calls a foul on you. Refs make bad calls because they either don't pay attention, made a mistake, or they got offended by a player.

Lets start off with the types of fouls, There are offensive fouls, fouls you commit when playing offense, technical fouls, where you argue or trash talk at an opponent. or a ref, reach-in where you try to steal the ball from the opponent, loose ball where neither team has possession of the ball, personal where one team has possession and flagrant where one player injures another player. Most of the time refs call a personal foul on a defensive player. So say if a player playing offense misses a shot and gets its own rebound and you try to get the rebound and the other player shoves you but then the ref blows the whistle and he points at you and you got the foul. This is one reason why refs make bad calls at the wrong person because they don't really pay attention at what the player who attempts to get the ball.

So moving on, another reason refs make bad calls is not being careful. Whenever there's a huge issue where one player argues with another on who fouled who like in Game 4 of the Finals where Draymond green was supposed to be ejected from the game because he had 2 technical fouls: one from Iman Shumpert and one for arguing at an offical. Although Green was supposed to be ejected, he still remained in the game. However, Green wasn't responsible for the first tech but it was non other than Warriors head coach Steve Kerr for arguing at the ref. Let that be a lesson for other refs. 

All together, most refs make bad calls mostly by making mistakes because there's so much going on in the game. In the future, they should carefully watch the replay computer.... or at least pay close attention! Jeeezz!!
